So I figured...

If random internet people can immediately point out a major flaw in my life, then I've just been a lazy person. Thanks, Jay. I just booked a non-refundable flight to see the Captain in the spring. He is very excited to be seeing me. Who says the internet is full of crazies?

Well... I do, but I'm one of them!

Talked to Shy a whole lot last night. Stupid boy keeps me up late hours with conversation because he's unemployed and doesn't need to wake up early. There were a few very personal moments, but I don't think any went beyond "very good friends." There was also a lot of talk about HBO's Flight of the Conchords. I freakin' love that show. One day I need a guy to sing "If you're into it" to me. Hahahah!

I didn't mean to be pointing out a flaw in your life, so much as reassuring you that the Captain's behaviour didn't mean he didn't like you. Will you be staying with him? Either way, you're far braver than I am. I usually just sulk about only meeting these amazing people online and not meeting them.

I've no idea what 'Flight of the Conchords' is tho.

I just posted a video clip so you can get the idea. It's a comedy show about two guys from New Zealand who comprise a novelty folk band - and they break out into songs randomly.

Also: it takes a lot to meet great online people in person. I've done it before, and the guy never talked to me again. But Shy is still talking, and we've seen each other more than once. There's hope yet - perhaps I'm not defective!

And no, I will not be staying with him. I think it's best if on my first trip out we have our own spaces to retreat to. But the next time? Sure.
